Celebrating milestones in Japan

Our Middle School exchange students recently returned from an unforgettable 11-day adventure at Linden Hall School in Fukuoka, Southern Japan.

This year marks two exciting milestones, Linden Hall’s 20th anniversary and a decade of our sister school partnership.

Earlier this year we welcomed 20 Linden Hall students to Beaconhills, and this month, nine of our Year 7 and 8 students from both campuses had the incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in Japanese culture through school life and homestays in Japan.

During their trip, our students got hands-on with traditional Japanese activities, including pottery, a tea ceremony, ramen making and calligraphy. They also attended classes alongside their Japanese friends.

Highlights included Executive Principal Stephen McGinley joining the program and a special performance by Linden Hall’s elementary, middle, and high school students in celebration of the school’s 20th anniversary.
