Queen’s Birthday honour

Beaconhills College Board Director Jill Healey has received a prestigious AM in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Mrs Healey was recognised for ‘significant service to education through leadership and advisory roles’.

The retired school principal has served as a Beaconhills College Board Director since 2016. She is a strong supporter of the College’s six pillars of Learning That Matters – which underpin all of its learning programs – and is keen to encourage and inspire leaders of learning.

Her vast breadth of experience includes six years on the Board of Independent Schools Victoria (ISV), seven years as a National Councillor of Christian Schools Australia and 10 years as a State Councillor of Christian Schools Australia.

Mrs Healey said she felt “honoured and energised to continue to use her gifts and experience to raise up future leaders”.

“I am passionate about preparing the next generation of young people to have hope and find purpose in life,” she said.

“I have been blessed through many leadership and governance opportunities and believe that the formation of young people through Christian values will enable the College community to flourish. Serving on the Beaconhills Board is an outworking of this passion.”
